Have you always been an entrepeneur or is that something you have developed and leaned into?

I have been entrepreneurial since I was 16 when I started my first English & Japanese Tutoring business and at 19 I was a senior golf caddie in Japan.

Tell us about your travels!

I lived, worked and studied in Japan, Chile and Belgium and picked up a few extra languages along the way. Learning languages and living in other countries requires resilience and grit. You also learn to never take yourself or life too seriously!

How many languages do you speak?

I knew at the age of 10 that I would live in other countries and made it my goal to learn 5 languages! I just have 1 more to go! Living abroad and learning other languages as well as attending University in Tokyo stretched my comfort zone beyond my imagination. And this is something I have continued to do.

And tell us about your formal qualifications

I have a Bachelors & Honours Degree in Japanese and a Post Graduate Diploma in TESOL. I completed my 3rd year of my Bachelors in Japanese at a University in Tokyo whilst on a scholarship with the Japanese government.

Meet Jodi

Jodi has had lots of adventures and overcome many challenges. Every challenge is an opportunity for growth and to learn how to handle things with a little more grace, wisdom, kindness and humility.

And you are currently studying?

I am continuing my formal studies and qualifications in Life Coaching, Master Coach and Wellness Coaching.

After more than 30 years in business and lifelong studies and learning I have so much to share and empower you with!

Where do you think your positive outlook and sense of fun comes from?

I have always lived life to the fullest. Life is an adventure. We get one shot so let's make the most of it! I learned this when I lost my mum to cancer when I was 10 years old. I grew up overnight and took on many responsibilities from a young age.

I think because I lost some of my childhood I love to be very playful and find the light and fun in everything I take on.

I choose to look for the silver lining in everything and I choose to make the most of every day and every opportunity.

Have you always lived a healthy lifestyle?

I went through a serious health journey around the same age that my Mum passed away from cancer. This gave me a real wake up call to make my health and wellness a priority.

From mind, body and skin I am always striving to make healthier habits with nutrition, exercise as well as personal development.

A healthy lifestyle is all about the 80/20 rule for me. Eat clean, exercise and meditate 80% of the time and 20% of the time do as you please and live a little!
